I feel a mixture of happiness and sadness having completed this piece, which I have taken so much pleasure in creating. It's opened up a new world of awareness: I now pay attention to those things washed up on our East Sussex shores and have a broad understanding of why we have got to this point. What I don't know is where we should go from here, but I trust fully in the strength, committment and professionalism of the World Cetacean Alliance to come up with an answer. We need a solution, and by putting forward our artworks for auction it the first step... public awareness of, and fundraising for, a crucial campaign for the world and it's sea creatures. If my artwork helps to save just one animal on this earth, I will be happy to my core.
